Quick Tip: Swap Assigned Persons with a Single Keystroke

The Problem

When working with face annotations, differentiating between individuals who look alike can be challenging. The Face AI in IMatch may occasionally struggle with similar-looking people, such as young siblings, twins, or even unrelated individuals with comparable facial features.

Here’s a handy tip: Did you know that you can easily swap the assigned person for a selected face annotation using the <G> keyboard shortcut? This allows you to quickly switch to the next suggested person by IMatch, streamlining your workflow.

How to Solve This

To swap the assigned or suggested person with the next best match suggested by the IMatch Face AI, just select the face annotation in the Viewer and press G on the keyboard.

You can press G multiple times to iterate over all persons IMatch considers as possible matches for the selected face.

Summary

Using the G key to quickly swap the person assigned or suggested for a face is a lot faster than manually assigning a person using the F2 face assignment dialog.
