I usually don't do refunds. See "Refunds Policy" on the shop page:
https://www.photools.com/shop/NO REFUNDS. Since photools.com is offering non-tangible irrevocable goods we do not issue refunds after the purchase is made, which you are responsible for understanding upon placing the order.Refunds cost me a lot of money. I'm not a big company with massive cash flows.
The credit card company and the distribution company charge me for you purchase. And they charge me again for your refund.
Not only I loose a sale, but I loose maybe 20 $ because you have not read any of the information I have provided to you.
You can of course force a refund via you CC company, claiming that I have intentionally misguided or deceived you. Or that you have placed the order in error.
I made it
very clear in at least five locations that support for AVX is required.
It's prominently mentioned in the "IMatch 2020 is here" email I have sent to all customers.
On the download page. The hardware & software requirements page:
https://www.photools.com/hardware-software-requirements/On the "IMatch 2020 - What's New" page :
https://www.photools.com/imatch-2020-whats-new/On the "Upgrading to IMatch 2020" page:
https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/#migrate_imatch2020.htmAnd, VERY BIG on the upgrade discount page in the customer portal you have read and used to order your discounted upgrade.
I've announced this and we discussed this months before IMatch 2020 came out here in the community.
If your PC is so old or so special that it has no AVX (AVX is standard since around 2011 for almost all Intel and AMD processors), maybye consider upgrading your system to something more recent?
Or look for a drop-in replacement for your old Xeon CPUs with AVX support?
