Setting up a filter

I'm having problems making a filter work.
I'm looking for images "not containing panoramic" in a specific tag with the Media Pro "catalog set" information.
Regardless of what I do, the filter fails showing all files in the selected folder in the file window regardless of the tag content.
What puzzles me is the fact that if I do a search "everywhere" via the file window toolbar, it all work without any problem.
What am I doing wrong?
I did select the correct tags to be searched, have checked and unchecked the filter panel "automatic" little box, clicked "apply filter" little button, but the result is the same.
Please see attached image showing the filter applied and the metadata of one of the files in the result.
I've already manage to get what I need via the file window toolbar, but want to understand what is happening as using filters is an important feature and I need to understand how to use it.
Thanks

For me this looks OK and should just work.

You say "not all files". Does this mean that the filter finds some files, but not all?
In that case, how do the values in the metadata differ?

Upload a sample image file that works and one that does not work somewhere and post a link or send the link to support email address

QuoteYou say "not all files"
If I said that, it was a typo, the filter simply doesn't work
What happens is:
I choose a folder as the scope for the filter, apply the filter, and all files in the folder remain in the file window. It is as if the filter wasn't applied.
If I search the same folder using "everywhere" via the file window toolbar, it works without a problem.
Quotehow do the values in the metadata differ
They don't differ as no files are actually filtered. The only thing regarding the metadata I thought could be a problem is the fact that the same values show on different tags (MediaPro catalog sets and Expression Media catalog sets). But I've already eliminated that possibility since I've created/applied filters for each tag separately, as well as for both at the same time and the result is exactly the same. Basically, the filter is not looking for the relevant values on the tags it is supposed to.

Have you enabled the filter? Is the check box in the filter caption checked?
Maybe the Filter panel is paused?
Do other filters work?
What if you swap "does not contain" with "contains"?

I tried your example (just with another tag) and it works perfectly. I have 10 files in the file window. One file contains the word Baboon in the title. I filter for "contains Baboon" and I get 1 file. I filter for "does not contain Baboon" and I get 9 files.

I did try inverting the criteria but the results are the same. The box is ticked (you can see it on the image), and I did click pause on and of but  no luck. I'm away from my computer now so double check everything later and report back if there is any change.

To nail you problem down, maybe try to proceed step by step.

First, in the filter panel, check the orange "Filter Panel". Then it will be easier to try different settings: They will have immediate effect. If you work with a stored filter (like "MPro Cat. Sets") remember that the filter settings used are not necessarily the ones you see in the filter panel. If, for example, you stored the filter with tag "MPRo_Sets", then changed the tag in the filter panel to "Catalog Sets", this will not have any effect until you save it to "MPro Cat. Sets" again (or activate the orange "Filter Panel" option).

You wrote it works if you use the "Everywhere" search in the file window. Does it work if you use the option "Everywhere" in the filter panel (instead of "Selected Tags")? This would suggest that somehow the tag is not correct.

Mind, I know nothing about MediaPro, so I am just throwing in some guesses...
