Since the last file transfer, this morning, recent files are not showing neither in file window nor in viewer.
Everything works fine with the same files in DXO Photolab.
Tried database diagnostic, restart iMatch, restart machine.

What is a "file transfer"? What do you do?

If IMatch falls back to the icon, it could not read the image. This seems to affect both DNG and ARW files, which is very unusual.
The log file you have attached does not help, it only shows a normal IMatch start, but not indexing files.

Select some of these files in a File Window, press Shift+Ctrt+F5 and then select "Force Update" in the dialog.
If this produces the same result, ZIP and attach the log file from that session. It will show us the warnings IMatch has logged when it tried to read the images.

Also, open Edit menu > Preferences > Application. Search for photools  and check the state of Prefer photools.com RAW processing. This is on by default.

Just transfer the files from the SD card to the NVMe drive via a USB card reader.

Done but nothing changes so I've attached the log file.

Checked and it was already on by default

Since my first post i made a fresh installation of Win 11
I've tried the Ctrl+Shift+F5 > force Update on freshly transferred files but nothing changed.

Years ago I had issues of files damaged during the transfer so I've tried to exclude similar issues doing as follows:
I have transferred the TEST files that were shot with 2 different cameras, recorded on 2 different SD cards, with 2 different card readers in separate directories but nothing changed.

Thank you Mario
Kind Regards

The log file contains over 50 warnings/notices from ExifTool. Many of them are about skipping some large blocks of data (which is OK) and about 10 are about invalid data detected in DNG files in A:\IMPORT\trust\1...
You can search the log for W> to find the file names.

What I've also found are many log entries for "Skipping cache creation for file".
Which is very unusual. It seems you have set a maximum file size for thumbnails/cache files in Edit menu > Preferences > Cache and all files IMatch tries to index are larger than the maximum file size you allow. IMatch thus is forced to skip these files, not creating thumbnails or cache images.

If you want IMatch to create thumbnails and cache images, set the "Maximum file size" to 0 (default) or a size larger than the files you process. This setting only exists for some environments, to prevent IMatch from trying to index TIFF files or videos with gigabytes in size. Not for normal operations.

Everything SOLVED
As you said I probably invertedly move the >maximum file size< from 0 to 1 and obviously... no Way to have cached images.
Probably this happened when i changed the cache directory or when I resized  the >maximum cache size< to 250Gb.
I'll check the warning you mentioned about the DNG files but I already know about the <Sony maker notes> that Adobe RAW converter removes during the conversion so it is probably due to that.

Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience due to my inattention
Best regards

Mario

Problem solved, good result!
