Renamed Tiff but not XMP

Hello, I`m new to IMatch and this board and have a trouble I could not fathom.

I added some Tiff pictures to an existing folder and renamed all tiffs using renamer.

It is written by the authorities:
"IMatch automatically copies, moves, renames XMP sidecar files for file formats which don't use embedded XMP data (RAW files, video files etc.)."
But my sidecar xmps created by lightroom were not renamed.
Lightroom did of course not recognise the files so I "synchronized" the lightroom catalog.
But thenI had to discover, that the xmp files were not renamed, and I cannot couple them with the matching tiff, because I forgot the order.
Undo was not possible.

My Questions:
- Do I have to set up "Relation Definitions" in spite of the above quote, or where did I go wrong
- Is there a chance to reunite tiff with matching xmp?

Disclaimer: tried search and  IMatch Help, still being lost

TIFF files always (as per the XMP standard) use embedded XMP metadata. Like JPG, PNG, GIF, PSD, PSB etc.
Since this is the case, IMatch does not move or copy or rename XMP files which accidentally happen to have the same name as the TIFF.

Adobe applications do the same, they embed XMP in TIFF files. Not using sidecar files.
