Happy New Year  :)

I'm brainstorming a new database consisting of production line MP4 videos.  I started with 2 folders with 6 videos in each folder. I went to lunch and when I returned, all folder name text had turned orange, including the hard drive name? This includes thumbnail date and time notation, but not the name called out on the thumbnail? I've been using IMatch from "the beginning" and I've never encountered anything like this?

I used properties to try and change the color to white on a couple folders, no change! Help appreciated as always - IM

Right-click into the folder tree and disable the "Show friendly folder" names option again.

Thanks Mario, no idea how "Show friendly folder" names was selected? Birthday 80 coming right up, and I expect something odd most every day. What is my cats name?  - Best, Bob

You can accidentally turning it on via this menu or via the properties in the small panel below the tree. Can happen.
This is why friendly names use a orange color by default, so users know. Or at least see that something's different.

Friendly names are mostly a thing of the past, when users managed many removable media (CD/DVD/...) in IMatch.
It was often helpful to be able to use more expressive names for R:\images (DVD in drive R:) - when you had 20 different R:\images in your database...

Thanks to today's large and cheap external disks and USB sticks, CD/DVD/BR-D for mass storage is no longer needed. And, good riddance.
