Greetings,

In the current version of IM how do I configure "open in associated application"?

I am referring to the setting in preferences/file window/user interface/mouse.
I recall being able double click on an image to open it in PhotoShop in an earlier version of IM.
I was unable to find anything in the help to do this. I have set PhotoShop in the favorites and
can drag an image to open it. Also, is there a way the user can add an "open in photoshop"
in the right click context menu?

Thanks

ubacher

Look in Preferences->file window-> mouse

As ubacher explained, you can configure the actions associated with the mouse in the preferences.

The "Open with" context menu command is added by IMatch after querying Windows for the application associated with the given file. The application thus depends on the selected file.

Other ways to open files are the "Open with..." command <Shift>+<Alt>+<Return> (Windows will give you choices), the various options available when you press <Alt>+<Return> and drag & drop of course.

Thank you for the replies.

Mario, your reply (The "Open with" context menu command is added by IMatch after querying Windows for the application associated with the given file. The application thus depends on the selected file.) made me realize that I had forgotten to configure the default in Windows settings for the NEF format to open with PhotoShop.

I did that and now "open with Photoshop" is at the top of the context menu.

Thanks

Mario
