I can't find how to hide the file window icons. I have looked on the help file page for the feature but can't see how to switch them off. Could somebody advise please?

Mario

What you see in the file window is controlled via the so-called file window layouts.

Use the drop-down menu in the file window toolbar to select one of the available layouts (for example, the thumbs only layout, which has no icons).

You can also disable icons for any of the other layouts by editing these layouts and setting the Show Icons option to No.

See File Window Layouts in the help for detailed information.

Thank you. Very customisable. Is there any way to compress the information by removing the blank line between each data line?

Mario

No. You can reduce the font size or create a custom template using XAML. This may reduce the line height further.

I don't know how small your monitor is, but you are surely the first user in the past 3 years who requested this  ???

You can change the size of the thumbnails with the slider, set all panels to auto hide. In that mode you can get 100 to 300 thumbnails to display on a normal monitor...

Not a size problem. I just think it would look neater and would use it if it were possible but no matter.

BTW do I get a prize for being first?  ;D
