I'm beginning to start to work with DNG-files.

I run the actually Adobe DNG-converter and converted a few example images.
Converting with setting preview-pic with full size.

But when i see the DNGs in the slideshow, the DNGs are not fit to screen.
When I edit a picture in PS CS6 I write this also with a preview full size. In the slideshow (fit to screeen and scale to fit screen same) i can see the editing (example: cropping) but the DNG is also not fit to screeen.

This is the WIC-Diagnostic for the attachment (screenshot from slideshow):

You have no DNG codec installed.
Please download the latest DNG WIC codec from the Adobe web site.

Then re-create the cache for the files in question via the context menu in the Media & Folders view.

THX for the quick answer :-).

But ...

... where can i find the WIC codec from Adobe?

The link on http://www.photools.com/1167/wic-support-codec-availability/
--> http://labs.adobe.com/wiki/index.php/DNG_Codec does not work correctly and goes to http://labs.adobe.com/
On http://labs.adobe.com/ i can not found the DNG codec.

Do you know an serious link to download this codec?

http://www.microsoft.com/de-DE/download/details.aspx?id=26829 (MS Kamera Codec Pack) does not help. Also to install DNG converter 8.6 does not help.

i have the codec installed now. Then i have made an restart.

I can see the codec in the system panel --> Adobe DNG-Codec 2.0.

The WIC-diagnostic in IMatch (Help/Support/WIC Diagnostic) shows better:

But the same before :-(. A black frame (fit to screen and scale to fit). The JPG looks good. No black bar at top and bottom.

The DNG (look at the first post of this thread - reduced screeenshot) in slide show --> ~ 683 x 1024. My TFT --> 1920 x 1200. The JPG --> 900 x 1200. Same with landscape.

1. Did you re-create the cache?
2. Log file please, in debug mode. I cannot tell anything else.

Oh yes, "the devil is in the detail" :-).

After rescan, the DNGs looks very well  ;D. "it was a difficult birth".

Big THX for the support.
