(SOLVED) Versioning and propagate data to versions not working?

My editing software actually destroys my complete XMP-Block of my edited image.
It is a subversion with appendix _SL.

So I thought, after reading the menu-items and preference, it is easy to rebuild it with:
Start versioning.
with the setting
Preference -> Background processing -> File relations "Automatically propagate data from master to versions"
or manually with:
Marking the masterfile  -> RMT -> Versions  -> Propagate data to Versions.

But nothing happens with my changed metadata in the masterfile "Title, headline, city, country etc."
But like EXIFTool-GUI shows me, the XMP-Block is rebuilded, but not the named fields.

Means propagate data something else or should I report  a bug?

SORRY: My newbie-problem was, that I didn't know that under Preferences -> File Relations under Tab Versioning  I had to tell under "what to propagate" the "XMP"

Your topic contains not sufficient information.

What file formats?
How have you configured versioning?
Are the versions properly detected?
Open the ExifTool output panel <F9>,<O> and propagate data from a master to a version. Attach output shown in panel.

QuoteBut like EXIFTool-GUI shows me, the XMP-Block is rebuilded, but not the named fields.

What does "named fields" mean?

Named fields means the fields I have listed in the post: "Title, headline, city, country etc."
Versioning was like you have told in https://www.photools.com/community/index.php?topic=3034.0
with an original JPG and 3 versions which also are jpgs. It works wonderful.
(Please see the attachment in my original post)

You can also see my 3 versions  including the fields with the panel (Made from SINUS) in the attachment.
On the left side you find the metadata of the master and on the right side the metadata from a version after
"Automatically propagate data from master to versions"

As an attachement in this post you can find the EXIF-Output after "Automatically propagate data from master to versions"
