Deletion of JUMBF group or C2PA data - AI markers

I gather that even minor alterations involving AI are resulting in the creation of C2PA data in the JUMBF group in xmp EXIF data.

I would like to be able to set up a Favourite in IMatch to remove this marker, so that I can decide for myself whether or not the technical use of AI was relevant or appropriate to disclose and therefore leave within my image metadata.

I am told that this can be removed using EXIFTOOL, as exiftool.exe -jumbf:all=, although I wonder whether the deletion of the entire JUMPF group might have unintended consequences.

Is it possible to do this in IMatch, and if so, how do I set up a Favourite to be able to apply this image by image? I have not been able to set up a Metadata Template to do this.

I have searched through the community posts and found Mario's post on 6 April 2025 in which he says: "IMatch cannot create CAI certificates or update existing CAI certificates", but it is the opposite that I want to achieve, I want to remove C2PA data.

All major AIs embed these records to mark images as AI-generated or AI-modified.
This is to prevent misuse of AI to spread misinformation and criminal activities.

Look into the free tools provided by the CAI https://opensource.contentauthenticity.org/docs/introduction/ to check and potentially remove C2PA certificates and the ExifTool documentation. If you cannot remove the entire JUMB record because it contains other data, ExifTool may not be able to help you. You can post your question in the ExifTool user forum.
