I often need comparison of metadata fields between two or more images. This feature is not available in IMatch and I think it would be nice to have it.

Ger's and Markus' apps in this thread are a good starting point:

As soon as metadata is written back, Beyond Compare does a good job to compare it.

+1.  Even better if you could also use this to compare metadata of a single image, before and after write-back.

(Will help a lot when troubleshooting: why is one image behaving different than another.)

I'll +1 this as well... bonus if one could check off and select metadata to copy between the images   ::)

I will put this onto the IMatch 2022/2023 feature set to evaluate.
Doing this right and flexible will take some work.

IMatch 2022/2023 ships with a new powerful app named Compare Metadata.

This app makes it super-easy to visually compare metadata of up to four (!) files side-by-side, including highlighting of changes, single-click metadata synchronization/unification and more.

I know this is old, and this is a long shot... but:

Do you know if this Beyond Compare program reads the entire XMP record as well? I have checked on their website, and all I can find are some messages from back in 2017 that mention a new version that can read EXIF and IPTC metadata. But I can't really find any info about XMP metadata, other than people asking about it.
