Will there be an accompanying IMatch Anywhere update with this? Since this new release updates the database, the current version of IMatch Anywhere no longer works (it can't start the service).
I did make a copy of this new database for IMA. The last update for IMA was on 4/12, which I have installed. (I even reinstalled/repaired it.)
Attached is the service log.
The log says:
Failed to open the database N:\imdb5\Peterson_Photos - Copy.imd5 in writable mode
Is the database read-only? On a read-only media?
No, Mario. It's on a secondary drive.
Also, If I try using the previous copy of the database (that was working with IMA before the update to IMatch), it still works as before.
Then maybe an incompatibility caused by changes in ExifTool or the database core. Don' tknow.
I have shipped four (4!) updates for IMatch this week. There is no time for anything else.
I plan to ship an update for IMA in the next days anyway.
I'm seeing the same issue on a new / clean install. IMatch 2020.5.2 (64-bit) - created a new database. Installed IMA 2019.11.7 (64-bit).
Database and files are local - created a copy of the database in a folder with no restrictions.
The IMA version reported is 2019.11.7 - this is an evaluation version. It cannot open databases older than 30 days.
If you want to try out IMA, create a new database in IMatch 2020, add a couple of your folders. Then the trial version should be able to open it.
the trial version may be the issue, but the database is less than one week old. Is there a size limitation? The database is ~1GB.
Try with the latest IMatch Anywhere Trial version (2019.11.10).
You can download it from https://www.photools.com/download/
Thanks - that version of the trial is working with the current iMatch release.
Very good. Just a replication issue.
I've switched computers and servers while juggling new IMatch and IMA versions two weeks ago...
Had similar problems, reinstalling with the latest Anywhere version solved all.
