I couldn't tell from the Help, but is there a quick way to copy/move an image from one result window to another?

No. Result windows have no underlying "context", like a folder, category, event or collection. There is nothing to "copy to".
To merge files in independent Result Windows, consider using a collection or category you reserve for that purpose.

Hey John,
I have created some categories (in my case 10), called bookmark-1, bookmark-2 and so on.
Then I have created for each cat a favorite.

Now if I am in the result window, and I want do some work there, I select all and choose the bookmark-number, what I want and this will then send all images to the bookmark.

Then I go to this category and work there, because there I can copy/move and so on between categories.
And they stay there without need to store.

And, if I do some mistake (say unassign some pics), I have always still the left result window and could to the same again.

Works for me since some years and is very good.

The only thing, what must be considered, that the desired bookmark is empty, but to do so, you have several options.

But otherwise sometimes you want add the pics, like from different result Windows, and this is nice to do so, simply add several result window (or direct from folders and on), and add them to the same bookmark-category.
Best wishes from Switzerland! :-)

Just figured I'd mention it in case it might be useful, but you could use (or modify further) my App: Result Store & Load to save off result windows. In this way, the items within a result window can be saved and recalled for future use.

Check out the app info here: https://www.photools.com/community/index.php/topic,11482.0.html and if you'd like a copy of it, let me know and I'll upload it (guess I never did work on those additional features so never posted the zip file!).

Enjoy! - Andy.

And you could create an event with the files you want to "store". Indeed many ways to use Imatch!
