Powerful machine with Pentium Gold G5400 CPU @ 3.70 GHz, 64 GB RAM, latest Windows 10 version. Trial version of iMatch installs without any problems, but a few seconds after starting the process, it crashes without even showing a window. DUMP and log file were not created. How can I fix this?

Looking at the spec sheet of this CPU, it does seem to lack support for AVX.

IMatch requires the AVX processor feature to run the IMatch AI, e.g. for face recognition. AVX is quite old, around for a decade and only a few processors in use today don't have it. AVX is the oldest of modern vector enhancements.

You can learn more from the IMatch hardware and software requirements page: https://www.photools.com/hardware-and-software-requirements/#what-is-avx I also offer a small utility you can download that will tell you if your processor supports AVX.

If your processor does not have AVX, IMatch cannot run and Windows will just terminate it. It should show a message why, but Windows does not, unfortunately.

Thanks for the quick and clear answer! That really turned out to be the reason. But I installed on another computer, IMatch works there and I'm starting to explore it.

Very well. As I said, AVX is only missing on very few processors. Not sure why Intel does that.
