Manually created buddy

I create files in a sub folder from the master file folder which I will use for different purposes e.g. a website image or a website thumbnail.

The master file has an out of camera file name like AG8A6266.CR3, the files I want to load to a website have descriptive names e.g. xyz donation.

If I create a manual version link then meta data can be propogated to the version.

But if I move the master file the manually created version does not get moved because it is a version and not a buddy.

Is it possible to create a child file as both a manually created version and a manually created buddy?
