I used the new Functionality of File Finder: Copy the names of files not found into the Windows clipboard.

It did not work. The clipboard still contained the content which was pasted into the Bulk Match window.

Details: I searched for about 4000 files, Ignore Extension ON. 309 files were not found.
I clicked the Copy the names .....
(Should this not be a button rather than a checkmark?)

Tried also smaller set of files.

I select 4 files in a File window and <Ctr>+<C> to copy them into the clipboard.
I paste them into the Bulk Match field.
I enable the "copy not found" option.
I change the first 2 file names by adding a NNN in front of the extension.
I run bulk match.

A result window opens with two found files.
I paste the contents of the clipboard into Notepad.
The two file names I've modified are inserted, because they were not found.

I modify the file names in Bulk match again, removing the NNN prefix.
Now all files are found and shown in a Result Window.
The clipboard is empty.

Seems to works as designed.
What do you do differently?

Mario

Ah, found it.
Only happens when you use the strip paths button or search for file names without path.
This was not considered when comparing the file names found with the file names searched. I have fixed this for the next release.

Definitely need this to resolve a list of images for an agency.    Any ETA?

I'm still experiencing this problem in the latest version.

I copy the filenames to be searched to the clipboard and paste them in the filefinder app.   The box to copy filenames not found to the clipboard is checked, 6400 of 6700 images are found, but after the operation the clipboard still contains the original list of images I used to paste into the filefinder.

the filenames do not have extensions and the 'ignore extension' box ischecked.

Mario

To be clear: you use file names only (without path) and the file names also have no extension?

I will test this for the next regular release and fix it it if is broken.
I have re-opened this bug report.

Mario

I have fixed the problem right away.

Download the attached ZIP, extract the app.js file contained in it and replace the file with the same name in this folder with it:

c:\ProgramData\photools.com\IMatch6\webroot\imatch\apps\file-finder\src

Restart IMatch.
