Filter panel possible interfering with Quick Filter

The following happens to me quite frequently, unfortunately I can't reproduce or force the issue. I try my best to describe it, maybe somebody else has run into this issue.

I mostly use the quick filter these days. Sometimes when I switch between the folder, category, timeline or selection tabs it shows the quick filter active, but not all expected files are shown. The filter line is blue like it's applying a filter from the filter panel, but the quick filter is active. See attached screenshot "Quickfilter panel wrong 1" showing blue bar with quick filter active. I believe when the quick filter is active the bar should never be blue.

It's easy to fix, the quick filter is correctly applied when I show the filter panel. See the second screenshot. All I did between these screenshots was switching from showing the meta data panel to showing the filter panel.
In this case the quick filter panel was active, but nothing selected to filter. The issue is that you need to realize the wrong filter is applied. I have seen this behavior quite often over the past couple of days as no files were shown. That most have been caused by a stored filter "no rating" with a checkmark in the filter panel and most of my files have a rating.

As a side note, there was a similar bug (more frequent) when the quick filter panel was experimental.

The screen shot shows a result window made from a selection of files.
Result Windows automatically disable the Filter panel, which makes them "special".
Do you experience this only with result windows?

Sorry, I'm not sure about that. I think it happens when switching between the other tabs like timeline, categories and media as well. I let you know when I'm sure.

It happens not only for result windows. Attached is a screenshot from June when I switched to the media and folder view with Quickfilter activated. Filtering was wrong and the bar was blue.
This is not new, just can't nail down when exactly it happens.

Let me know when you find out how to reproduce this.
Each File Window has it's "own" independent Quick Filter, so I wonder what the reason could be.

I've played around with this for maybe 10 minutes, enabling Quick Filters, switching Views, opening files in Result Windows etc.
So far, no luck.Quick Filter always worked as it should. No related reports from other users either.
This must be something specific you do, or the order in which you do things, dunno.
If we can find a way to make this reproducible on my PC, I can fix it.

I just run in a situation were I could repeat it as often as I want, I restarted Imatch and saw the same effect. Not sure if I can repeat it tomorrow :-\

When it happened the first time I switched to debug logging, log file is attached. Time of interest is about 16:30.

I try to describe below what I did:

I switched between a category view and a timeline view. The category view uses the quick filter with a saved filter to hide version. 72 out of 135 files should be shown. I have 3 panels shown on the side, meta data, keywords and map.
When I switch to the timeline view I see no files with a blue bar. The quick filter is enabled but paused. All 84 files should be shown. Interestingly, all files show for a short moment before they are removed and the blue bar shows up with no file.
When I go back to the category view, files are shown for a short moment before they disappear and only one file is shown again.
I did repeat this multiple times.
When I'm in the category view and show the filter panel the display changes from showing 1 file to 72 files which is correct.
I disabled the quick filter, to see the filter panel settings. and the filter panel was not paused, A stored filter showing files with no rating was the only filter selected and the filter panel was not paused.

I could repeat this as often as I wanted, it behaved even the same after a new start. I attached that log file as well.

I did create a screen recording of this. That seemed to have slowed down the computer a lot, but it makes it easier to see that initially the files are shown.

I uploaded the recording to SmugMug, below is the link. If you want access, it in some other form, please let me know.
