Does Imatch clear existing confirmed/deleted/ignored face annotations when "Ignore images with existing face annotations" is not checked, or will it just add any new faces (if I run detection with a more thorough option)?

Is there a way to "un-ignore" all ignored face annotations?

If an image has a face, it is ignored. You can test this for yourself in a few seconds.

Ignoring a face annotation is usually deliberate and final. It is intended to be used when you want to maintain the information that a photo has a face but don't want IMatch to process it. For bystanders or unrelated persons, for example.

There is no command that un-ignores all ignored faces. Because there is not really a need for it.

If you really need to do this, add a temporary Variables filter in the Filter Panel panel based on this variable:

{File.Faces.Ignored|contains:Yes,Y,N}

This produces two results, labeled Y and N. Filter for Y to see only photos with at least one ignored face. Open them in the Viewer and un-ignore the faces you have ignored.
