Hello,
How can I ensure that the recording date appears in Windows Explorer for the exported files and not the export date?

Frank.

1.  Determine where this recording date in Windows Explorer comes from. Google, ask an AI, contact Microsoft support.

I don't know which metadata Windows Explorer uses, it is usually all over the place.
When I enable the recording time column for a folder with images and videos, Windows Explorer only shows a blank. Despite the images and videos having EXIF, XMP and QuickTime metadata with 5 or more timestamps.

2.  If you find out that Windows Explorer pulls that recording time value from some metadata, set the corresponding tag in IMatch and let the Batch Processor export it. Or set the tag in the Batch Processor directly, as explained in the help system.

'Recording Date' isn't listed an option in my Windows Explorer (Windows 11 - latest sub-release).

As mentioned, I could find a Recording time, but no date.
