It would be very useful to have some visual representation indicating that you are viewing a video (rather than an image) in Viewer mode.

On a number of occasions I have found myself marking videos for deletion based on the relatively poor quality screenshot that I mistook for an image - because videos and images are displayed identically in Viewer mode.

Having some visual reminder that this is a video would help prevent accidental deletions.

Perhaps just add the white "play button" triangle overlay to the video screenshot like that displayed in the File Window?

Implemented for the next IMatch release.
The Viewer now displays the same icon you see in File Windows for videos.

That's awesome - thanks. Just got the new version and it will make a huge difference.

I was wondering whether adding the same icon to the videos in the viewer mode film strip would make it easier to differentiate between photos and videos there as well?

In any case - thanks again for the update, will certainly prevent mistakes in the future.

Mario

The film strip in the Viewer now indicates videos with the "play button" icon.
