IMatch 2020.5.2 released

This version officially ends support for Windows 7. Support for Windows 8/8.1 may also end soon.

This version brings back support for Windows 7 (IMatch may run, but it is not officially tested anymore) and Windows 8/8.1
But these are discontinued (W7) or deprecated (W8) Windows versions and support by 3rd party toolkit vendors, open source projects etc. can end any day. In that case, I also have to abandon support. Keeping IMatch running on these legacy Windows versions requires extra effort and prevents me from using modern features only available on W10 in IMatch.

New Installer System

IMPORTANT: As explained in the topic linked to above, I had to switch to another installer software for technical reasons.
If you have IMatch 2020.4.8 or earlier installed, please uninstall the currently installed IMatch version via the Control Panel > Add/Remove Software applet before installing this version. This avoids a duplicate "removal" entry for IMatch in this applet later on. It does not harm, though, if you don't do this. It's just tidier. And only required this time.

Don't forget to read release notes of previous versions if you have skipped one or more updates.

Download

Use the Updater App integrated in IMatch to install this update.
You can start the App from the App Manager or via Help menu > Check for Updates.

Alternatively, download the latest version of IMatch from the customer portal.

Backup

As usual when installing new software, make a backup of your data, including your IMatch database.
For more info about backup see the Backup help topic in the IMatch help.

To manage and download all your licensed products, open the customer portal.
