Hello.
To me it seems like the photos are much sharper/crisper in the Viewer than when looking at them in the filewindow. Can something be done With that?

Mario

The 300 pixel default thumbnail is produced from whatever image size IMatch imports. If you downsample a 36 or 80 MP image from 8,000 x 10,000 pixels to 300 pixels, some blur or soften is inevitable. Have you considered changing the thumbnail sharpen and other options in Edit > Preferences > Application?

I have a Nikon z6. That is 24 MP. I have tried to sharpen the thumbnails in the menu you mention, but not sure how much to adjust that. The default there was 108? But why is the photos sharper when seen in the Viewer? What settings do you recommend to adjust? Shouldn`t it be similar sharpness in the Viewer and the filewindow?

Mario

The Viewer displays your images at 100% (or slightly downsampled to fit into the window for 24MP files).
Downsampling a 6000 x 4000 filer to a 300x200 pixel thumbnail is a much more invasive operation. But usually the thumbnails come out good and viewable. The default settings for thumbnails usually work and I don't recall reports from other users about unsharp thumbnails.

Are the files processed completely or does IMatch still display the "processing" icon in the thumbnail?
What happens when you select a file in a file window and press Shift+Ctrl+F5 and to a forced rescan?

Maybe show us a screen shot (Alt+PrintSn) to show us what you are seeing?

The thumbnails works fine. I just wondered if there are certain settings I can adjust to make them look a little bit sharper. Perfect sharp in the viewer, but I see why it can`t be the same for the thumbnails:)

Mario

Have you tried the thumbnail options I explained above?
