Crashing when updating the database / catalogue (generating for the 1st time)

I'm using the 30 day trial.

I'm trying to import photos from a local SSD. I'm just adding folders as the Lightroom import wouldn't work.

I initially tried importing all my photos (just over 100k).
I've 1tried several times, created new Databases but the app just freezes and hangs. It's eating all the memory on my photo PC (32gb).

Now tried to import a folder with 1k images which it did.
Then tried to add a folder with circa 15k images and it's just crashing.
Most of the images are Olympus ORF RAW and Jpgs.

Before I give up andd head back to Lightroom is there anything you can suggest I look at?

You are unfortunately affected by a bug introduced in a recent release.

Will I be able to do another 30 day trial when fixed or is it a on-off trial per machine etc?

The trial does not expire. Only your database will become read-only after 30 days.
You can create a new database if you need more than one month to evaluate the product.
