Stacks always collapsed?

Just got the registered version of IMatch. My commitment that the long winter evenings won't get too boring :-)

I wasted some thoughts last days about versioning files. XMP files are not shown in the file windows anyway, but when developing RAWs or even working on JPGs and creating new files, I want to stay them where they are. Therefore, I want the stacks automatically created with those files always collapsed so I don't mess them up by accident (sometimes I delete stuff I think I don't need any more...).

So far I haven't found any setting that lets me show all stacks always collapsed. Is there any?

Many thanks.

IMatch automatically manages XMP files for you. You only need to configure buddy files for other file formats (e.g. RAW->JPEG).
But buddy files are unrelated to stacks. Do you mean you create version stacks using a version relation?

All version stacks are initially expanded. To collapse them, select the master (or just select all files in the file window with Ctrl+A) and toggle the stack state with Shift+C (regular stacks) or <T> for version stacks.

Yes I was talking about versioning.

If all version stacks are initially expanded, that means I would have to collapse each stack manually?

You can stack any number of stacks with one press of <T>. Just select the masters and press <T>. You need to do this only once. Your stacks stay collapsed until you expand them or you enable the option (file window toolbar) to always display stacks expanded.

Ah, OK. Many thanks. Will try this.
