Glitch in Web Services Documentation for v1/files/move
« on: October 12, 2019, 10:29:19 PM »
Hi Mario,
according to the Web Services documentation, it is possible to move files either to a folder indexed by the database, or to a folder outside of it. The description of the parameters says that targetpath should be used for indexed folders (assuming I want to specify the full path and not an ID) and target for non-indexed folders:
Code: [Select]
targetid/targetidlist/targetpath The target folder for the move. Use this parameter to move the file to a folder indexed by the database, else use the 'target' parameter.
target                                 A fully qualified folder name. Use this to move the file to a folder not indexed by the current database. WARNING: This will remove the files from the database, including all associated data.

But in fact target is not recognized. Instead, targetpath works equally for indexed and non-indexed folders. So the functionality is there, only the documentation should be updated.

This stems from the way IMWS handles 'prefixed parameters' now.
I will rename the parameter (for both /copy and /move) to absolutepath in IMatch 2020.
