Reverse copy labels from version to master

In my workflow, certain status information is determined from the jpg ("version") files, this process happens outside of IMatch.

Currently, a label is used to mark the jpg files.

Now I need to port the result back to the raw images ("master").

What is the current "best practice" to propagate labels from version to master?

One possibility would be a filter show all "master files whose version has the label value foobar" but this doesn't seem to be possible, correct?

I found a thread dated 2013 https://www.photools.com/community/index.php?topic=407 "Reverse Copy Ratings and Labels Script".
This script and a 2016 variant https://www.photools.com/community/index.php?topic=5137.msg35665#msg35665 is no more available.

Any suggestions?

I now use a filename list (with some text substitution) and the "File Finder" app to select the master images.

Probably I could use also a temporary relation but I'm not sure whether frequent enabling/disabling of relations is a bad idea.

Other suggestions are still welcome.

I still think about an "app" to find masters of currently selected versions but since the "File Finder" works well in my case, I won't spend time on it.
