Please, Please, PLEASE ... no politics!
« on: September 08, 2014, 04:37:57 PM »
Is it too much to ask, Richard, Mario, to ban politics or how much I hate (fill in the blank) in this forum? Those things are poison in some of the other fora I'm in.

My view is that posts in this board should be broadly related to photography, even if not directly related to IMatch.  For example, Mario and I were grumbling about LR in a bug report, and I felt that we should have a board for discussing such things, rather than hijacking other threads and boards.

I note that there is another OT post unrelated to photography, unless you think that we all travel through Heathrow en route to our holidays (as I recently did) and we only take photos on holidays (not true, but I do shoot a lot on holiday).  I know that some forums have OT boards where anything goes, but that wasn't my idea.  I guess we will need to sort these things out at an early stage, but Mario did say in the board description "This board is for discussing general photography topics, the photo industry and similar".

I posted that post about the airport because Mario posted this post

https://www.photools.com/community/index.php?topic=3329.0

no mention there or clicking on the link about it being about photography.

I've deleted the post

May have been premature.  Perhaps me also.
