Hi Mario,

Suddently I don't have the maps anymore. The dropdown "Map Type" is empty now. I have installed keys for Bing, Here and GeoNames.

What goes wrong?

Thanks in advance,
Rien van Ham

mmmm, interesting: several restarts if iMatch didn't help but after a restart of my computer the maps are back again!

Mario

I understand the problem has solved itself?

Tip: Windows does not really reboot anymore. It just dumps memory contents to disk and goes to sleep. When you start the PC again, the memory contents are loaded from disk. All for a faster start.
This allows all kinds of weird stuff to accumulate over time and then, suddenly, things fail.

I reboot my PCs at least one every week with the "real" reboot option from the Power menu. Saves a lot of headaches.

Never have such issues, because my computers are normally powered off except for the few hours where I actually use them  ;D Saves trouble and energy ...

Even if you use the "shut down" in the power menu, Windows hibernates.
Only the "Restart" command does a real restart now, with fresh memory, all drivers loaded new etc.

Hi Mario,

My problem has been solved. The maps are available now.

Perfect tip of you: I disabled "Turn on fast startup (recommended)" so my pc will always shut down.

Thanks!

Regards,
Rien.

Mario

I'm aware of this.
Fast startup has its advantages, though. Including keeping mounted drives alive and other things, which allows me to continue work faster.
As long as I reboot fully once a week, there are no ill effects.
