Suppose I create a data driven or formula based category. Then, suppose I want to create a similar one making a change to one or more of the parameters. In iMatch, I have to create a new category and build everything 'from scratch'. In Lightroom, I simply copy the collection (their term for category) and edit the title and the parameter(s).

Request for similar functionality, perhaps right-click the category with option to duplicate (copy).

I know Lr makes this a bit difficult.

In IMatch, you just use Copy and Paste, which works fine for folders, files, categories, ...

Prior to posting this I tried copy/paste (CTRL-C/CTRL-V). Nothing happened.

I tried again and still nothing happened until I moved my selection to the next higher category, then it worked.

Please disregard the request and thanks for the response.

You cannot paste a category "into" itself, if this is what you have tried. And you cannot copy a category as a child of a data-driven category.
The commands in the context menu will indicate this by being greyed out, the keyboard shortcut will not work and if you use mouse drag & drop IMatch will show the forbidden sign in that case.
