Possibility to use Persons only with keywords

Because it is complicated, I start with common wishes:

You want see all pictures, where aunt Helene is on? No problem, go to a category any you will see all pictures, where she is on.

But you want see Helene alone? Well, no problem, select another category.

Ah, no, you will see Helene ONLY with her (divorced  ;D) man Peter? No, problem, switch to another category.

What, Helene, Peter AND also his new woman, Kathrin? Also no problem, another category will show you the result (is there is any ;D).

We have the fascinating AI for People with IMatch, since IMatch 2020.
Well, some of us some have been using tagging persons with keywords for a long time or want not yet use the powerful AI-people-stuff.

For these I have written here my personal system, used for a long time, and that is in my case the reason, why I will not use the AI for now.
Maybe in future I will rethink this or I find a good combination, say never never  ;D
But let me add, I think, a lot of you have something equal like me, but for some this might be a good start to think about this "people-stuff".

My "workflow" for people may seem simple, others may think it is complicated.
It's all a matter of perspective.
I may describe it a bit complicated (also because my bad English) but in principle it happens very quickly in practice.

Well, I use hierarchical keywords for persons, but they are also stored as flat keywords within IMatch (automatically)
For this I have built up keywords with

66 Private
-Family
...

-Family
>Muller
771 Muller Dominique
773c3 Muller-Santer Evelyne
...

-Special
-all alone
-two
-three

If I have images, I give them these keywords with the help of the thesaurus, this is faster than you think, often there are several images that you can select and tag at the same time.
So every person image has keywords I can search for (the numbers like 773c3 are due to an old system, every person has a special number, built on a halfway geneological principle, but in principle it is not important)

Then I do tagg per picture whether a person (only Family) is alone on it or in twos or threes.
I started this once, a long time ago (I deleted in once, thought it is not necessary, but came back again) and you can search for pictures where

One person ONLY on it alone is
Or only TWO specific people.
So if I want to search for my parents ALONE TOgether: no problem.
Or ONLY Muller Dominique TOgether with Evelyne: no problem

...

It's actually a cool thing, although you can figure it out with formulas (count), but the way I use it, it takes a moment longer to type, but gives me a lot more options when searching.

So, because IMatch automatically! (cool) saves keywords as keyword categories, I can create wonderful combinations with category formulas, directly in the categories.
So if I have a category formula (NOT a Data-Driven Cat) that refers to two categories (Dominiqe AND Evelyne), images will automatically appear in this cat where these two are on one image.

Of course I also have categories where I have formulas with family images in them, which has the number in it.
So a formula like "Evelyne AND alone", in this Cat only Evelyne alone appears automatically, although she herself is often on pictures. But I don't always want to have pictures where there are 4 others and she has to be accordingly small.

All this I have created in the Cats without DD categories (where you can achieve also nice combinations) but I find category formulas easier and faster and they are displayed immediately and quickly.

Finally, a bit summarized:
I have built a thesaurus with people from family and friends.
That means, images are assigned with this thesaurus.

All categories outside the automatic keyword categories are also created automatically (with formulas).
So if I stay with the persons mentioned above, I have the following with the Cats:

@Keywords
-66 Private
--family
>Muller
771 Muller Dominique
773c3 Muller-Santer Evelyne

At the Formula Cat:
-Family members of keys ALIAS
Here all persons are taken as aliases directly from the keys, looks up more "tidy" and I don't have to go to the keys.
-771 Muller Dominique
773c3 Muller-Santer Evelyne
...

People counted
Here the persons are displayed, alone, in pairs or in threes. More than three persons are no longer listed.
Alone:
771 Muller Dominique
773c3 Muller-Santer Evelyne
...

In twos :
771 Muller Dominique
773c3 Muller-Santer Evelyne
...

in a threesome

771 Muller Dominique
773c3 Muller-Santer Evelyne
...

So I can switch back and forth in the Cats and can find pictures where Dominque is on any picture, or alone, in twos or threes.
Or I can find pictures, by formula or by search, where Dominique AND Evelyne are together, just the two or together with other people.

If I still want to, I can of course take the time to find where Dominique AND Evelyne are together in November 1997.
And so on.

If you read this, it sounds complicated, but created once, it is easy and powerful, thanks IMatch.
Best wishes from Switzerland! :-)

Thanks. It's very interesting to see other folk's workflows and ideas that one can apply to one's own needs.

Thanks, John
And I forgot, I have linked the family-persons with the birthday and age, counted at the date of the photo-shooting.
I have also for each of my family-person a favorit linked.

Means, if I want to add Dominique Muller, then I do following things:

Select one or more, where he is on a photo.
Click once a button with favorit "Dominique".
This single click will add the hierarchical keyword, his birthday and his age.

A second click I have to do, if he is alone, or with one or other people on the photo.

In this cases I have to click a second favorite with a button, either "alone", "zu zweit" or "zu dritt".

That's it. These counting-thing I could solve maybe from time to time with some other workflow, but finally it is quite quick done, specialy with favorites, hence I do it in this way.
Best wishes from Switzerland! :-)

Thanks a lot for sharing your detailed workflow on Persons!
I will for sure spend some time now to check what is possible with formulas in categories  :)

Very good. A check, what is possible with formulas is for sure interesting.
It can be done a lot with formulas, and the beauty for me is: you can see immediately a result, automatically.

And then you can simply click on different categories and you will see the results.
Have fun with IMatch.  :)
Best wishes from Switzerland! :-)
