Title: How to code filters on objective in metadata? (UV, CPL, ND etc)
Post by: mastodon on October 11, 2021, 10:50:15 PM
I have just applied a filter to my PS camera. (pana TZ100 and Lensmate adapter kit (https://lensmateonline.com/products/canon-g7x-mark-ii-g7x-quick-change-filter-adapter-kit-52mm-by-lensmate?variant=39888528524))
How to code in metadata, what filter I have used? Is there a tag for this, or where do companies store this? I want to use the most commonly used tag.

There are currently over 15,000 metadata tags.
I have no idea if and where your camera would encode the filter used, if at all..

You can see all the data your camera has written to the file in the The ExifTool Command Processor (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/#et_command_processor.htm)
If you find a tag which holds the information you want, you can make it work in IMatch.

I suggest you just contact Canon and LensMate support for details and advice about the gear you are using.
