Title: Time Wizard
Post by: Stevef48 on September 04, 2021, 05:05:00 PM
Some of my photos have the wrong time. Don't ask me how it was corrupted.
In the File Window the dates/times are shown as 29/08/2021 11:13:38, but I know that they were taken an hour earlier. The time should be within a second or so of another photo I took.
If I subtract and hour from the time the time wizard says that the old time was 10:13:38+01:00 and the new time will be  09:13:38+01:00, but the file window shows 09:13:38 for the JPEG and 10:13:38 for the (ORF) RAW file.

What did I do wrong?

I have no idea.
Read How IMatch uses Date and Time Information (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/#tech_exifdate.htm) to learn more about how IMatch derives the global FileDateTime value from metadata.
Consider time-zone offsets you specify in the time value and your local time-zone, which both impact File.DateTime.
It is unlikely that the same XMP value produces different File.DateTime values, unless both files have different EXIF time-zone offsets specified maybe?
