Title: Loading in the viewer
Post by: frlindla on March 15, 2020, 09:09:50 AM
Hello.
I have 6 photos at once in the viewer, in full view mode. Is it normal that I have to wait for the photos to load in the viewer? Dng-files slower loading-time than nef-files? Any experiences? Anything I can do about it?

Statements like "I have to wait" don't help much unless we can see some data.
Loading 6 files can mean that IMatch has to pull 600 or 1000 MB of data from the disk into the graphic card.

As always it would help a lot if you could attach at least a log file if that IMatch session...(log file (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/#im_logfile.htm)).
Because then we could see how fast your PC is, how long IMatch needs to load a file, how much memory is left, if your graphic card buffer overflows with 6 images loaded at the same time etc.
Or if your DNG are 24 MP (80 MB per image in memory) or 80 MP (350 MB per image in memory)...
Or if IMatch already has created cache images or it must create them at that moment ...
