Title: Search Entire Database for a specific Person
Post by: kiwilink on February 28, 2020, 05:32:06 PM
Just Love the new 2020 Version.  I have created a person and I have 9 photos of him.  I want to search the entire database and find all of this person (I have 98,000 images).  I went to media and folders and I also tried my categories and right clicked but I don't see a way to do this but I'm sure I'm missing it.

When I went to Persons (find faces) it said "searching 760 unconfirmed faces".

Do I have to turn on automatic search and let it search all faces and then go to People, find faces?

Thanks!

All images for each person are displayed in the People View (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/#people.htm?dl=h-36).
Just click on the person for which you want to see all files.

QuoteWhen I went to Persons (find faces)

What do you mean by that?

Mario:

Thanks for the reply.  Should I run face recognition first on all of my 98,000 images in the database so that I can then go to "People" and then choose "Find faces for selected persons"?  After reading the help I just ran "DETECT FACES" on a few categories.  Thanks!

Detecting faces will detect faces in your images. Faces. Not persons.
When you assign persons to some of the detected faces, the People View will fill. And the AI will learn and search your database for other faces matching the persons you have trained.
