Title: How to add another Hard Drive to an existing database
Post by: Imageman on February 11, 2020, 05:38:51 PM
I've been adding drives to my IMatch database for years, 'BrainDead', what are the steps for adding a new (not replacing) hard drive to my IMatch?  >:(

You cannot add hard drives to your database.

Just drag the folders you want to manage with IMatch to the Media & Folders tree.
Top-level folders are sufficient, child folders will be added automatically.

If you have indexed folders from drive C: only so far, but now index folders on drive D:, a drive node for D: will be created automatically.

As a refresher, watch the Adding Files to Your Database (https://www.photools.com/imatch-learning-center/) tutorial video in the IMatch Learning Center. Or read the Indexing Folders and Files (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/#rmh_dlg_scanfolder.htm) help topic.
