The largest database I knew of so far managed about 1.5 million files.
Recently, telemetry told me that the largest database has 6.7 million files and a size on disk of 160 GB.
The database with the largest number of categories, by the way, has almost 180,000 (!) categories.
Today I was contacted by the user with the 6.7 million images database to discuss some feature requests (for the visual query features, which most of you probably don't even know about). Very interesting, though. Good assurance for users who wonder if IMatch will handle 500,000 files ;D
Incredible. Indeed.
But very emboldening!
:D
And at the same time: very humbling!
Wow! VERY impressive!
Very interesting! I wonder what kind of hardware they're using?
Wow!
I had better stop fiddling with IMatch and get out and get some more photographs!!!!
Aubrey.
