Title: IMAtch move to new computer
Post by: jelvers on December 17, 2018, 10:33:07 AM
In view of the recently described copy of preferences to a new computer (see other thread) I just discovered that all my pictures double up in file view (see attached picture)  although physically there is no copy. Unfortunately I just can't recall which mistake I made but I am wondering whether there is a way to reverse that (All originaly files are still available incl. Database backup etc.). Any ideas?

Regards, Juergen

Most likely, instead or relocating your files you have added all folders again to your database.
Or maybe you have added the folders again and then used relocate and basically folded files on top of each other?

1. Restore a backup of the database
2. Relocate each disk to (or top-level folder, depending on your setup) tell IMatch that your files are on a new PC.

The Relocate Command (Update Folder Location) (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/#file_management.htm?dl=h-31)

or just search for

duplicate AND relocate
