An SSD storage drive failed and I was able to pull back almost every image from backups. Imatch facilitated the process in the final stages by filtering on missing files. I've since noticed a few files that were damaged and have the "file format error" warning. I would like to identify these files more quickly and accurately than paging through thousands of thumbnails to find the warning indicators. It would be a huge help if I could use the filter tool to find these errors.
Sure. Filter on the Error tag.
You can see this tag when you switch the Metadata Panel to the Browser Mode, usually right at the top.
Filtering for this tag (has value) will show all files with an error.
Thanks Mario. During the Recovery from this hardware failure and the reorganization of my file storage/backup processes IMatch has done everything I have expected and more. IMatch really has performed.

On my setup I cannot see an
Error tag, even in the Browser Mode, so I assume that ...
A. (as I fully expect) I have no faulty files in my database, and
B. this
Error tag will only appear if one or more files in my database are in some way 'faulty'?
Or should I look harder to see this Error tag, even on a database that includes zero faulty files?

This error tag only appears for files which produced errors when reading/writing metadata. It is emitted by ExifTool dynamically on-demand.
