Title: Ignoring subfolder without valid file when updating
Post by: Nordlicht on December 26, 2017, 09:23:59 AM
Hello,

Is it possible to ignore subfolder without valid file when updating?

CaptureOne us a tree of subfolders. They are imported into the database; with zero files. I can delete them from the database. After updating the picture folder, they are there again.

Thanks

Matthias

You can set these folders to "hidden" in Windows Explorer.  Then check under Edit > Preferences > Indexing that the option to skip hidden folders is on.
Or you could disable the option there to include sub-folders...but that really works against IMatch is designed to work. IMatch by design indexes the folders you add to the database and all sub-folders, recursively.

I fear that I will have to add even more options, to ignore all the sub-folders stubborn applications like C1 insist on creating everywhere. As if database technology was never invented...
