This morning I started having a really annoying problem. Just out of the blue my TrendMicro virus scanner started identifying IMatch as behaving out of bounds. The easiest way to reproduce this is to delete files using ctrl-del to permanently deleting. IT also happens if I run IMatch "as administrator".
See the attached images.
Anyone? Is this just a TrendMicro thing?
I forgot to add that TrendMicro then basically makes IMatch inoperable as it quarantines the program, and I have to reinstall/repair the installation.
Each version of IMatch is tested by four different virus engine. And then I sign it with my digital certificate to avoid tampering.
If the certificate is OK, so is IMatch. In that case, false positive by your virus checker. You can upload whatever file your virus checker is identifying to Google's virustotal.com to let it test with 40 other virus checkers.
Thank you Mario.
Not the first time TrendMicro gives me headache. Time to find another virus scanner I guess.
All virus checkers produce false positives, occasionally.
