Title: Pack and Go says "5,284 packets skipped"?
Post by: kiwilink on August 20, 2017, 01:22:16 AM
I am testing the 64 Bit version as you suggested on my laptop.  I used Pack and Go to move from my Desktop to my Laptop.  Please see the attached.  It says "file contains 7,229 packets.  5,284 packets skipped"?  Can you let me know why I would get this message?

Thanks!

Files are skipped when they already exist.
When you extract the packet to a new, empty folder, are packets skipped still?

Mario:

Thanks for the reply.  I will try this.  I always just use and Pack and Go to restore to the folders that are on my Laptop from the previous Pack and Go.  Should I be deleting the existing folders each time?

Thanks!

No. When a file already exists and has the same or newer timestamp, P&G will not replace it. No need to and faster.

Remember than IMatch 2017 ships with hundreds/thousands of support files for apps. These only change when I ship an IMatch update which also happens to include update of these 3rd party libraries. Else these will never change and thus P&G can skip tons of files while restoring.
