Title: Question about Media & Folders panel
Post by: felixu on June 25, 2017, 08:22:58 PM
Adding a new folder within this panel is inserted as a Child folder. Can a Parent folder be added?
Within this panel most of my folders show up under their true Parent folders, but many of my older added folders do not, so that the list is much longer than it could be. My actual HDD file structure is the same for all folders, so how can I fix the viewing of this panel and what might I have done wrong (if someone can hazard a guess)?

IMatch adds the folders exactly as you add them to your database. This gives you maximum flexibility.

If you have a "c:\images\beach" folder but you add only the "beach" folder ti your database, it will show up on the top-level.
You need to add "c:\images" as well so IMatch can link beach to it.

Thank you very much, Mario. That was an easy fix. Even though I've been using iMatch for a number of years I use only a fraction of its features and still learn as I go. I'm hardly an amateur photographer, but I like efficient and versatile database programs. Yours far surpassed all others that I tested on trial at the time and you keep improving it. I keep appreciating iMatch all the more as I continue to notice the fine details.

Thanks.
Most users are using about 50% of IMatch's feature set. But different 50%  ;)
