Title: can't open cr2 in ACR
Post by: Joe Austin on June 14, 2017, 03:19:52 PM
I just re-installed my OS on a clean drive.   Re-installed Imatch, Photoshop CC2017 and ACR 9.10.1.

in my old installation I could drag a cr2 from Imatch to an open instance of CC and it would automatically open in ACR.    Now, when I try to do that I get a message saying that the document cannot be opened because it is 'not the right kind of document'

I have confirmed that CC sees the ACR plugin.   What am I missing?

What happens when you drag the cr2 file from Windows Explorer to CC?

Not the "right kind of document" is a typical Adobe error message. This seems not to be related to IMatch.
As Carlo said, what happens when you drag the file from Windows Explorer? IMatch uses the same mechanism.

Same thing happened, but I found the problem... permissions.    For some reason, even though 'Authenticated User's have 'full control' of my image folders, I had to give my specific user account on the new install full control.
