Title: Dynamic Category Formula using IPTC keywords
Post by: JoeKane on December 29, 2016, 07:16:40 PM
Hello,

I have been trying to setup some dynamic categories (on an Imatch 3.6 installation) based on the presence or absence of IPTC keywords, but I haven't been able to figure out the Syntax.

I'm trying to set up a dynamic category for all images without any IPTC keywords defined at all, something like (but this obviously doesn't work) "@All"  NOT "IPTC.Keywords".

I also need a dynamic category for all images that do not have a "Places" keyword defined.   The Keywords are flattened from imatch hierarchical categories, separated by forward slashes, if that matters, like "Places/USA/Washington/Seattle/Space Needle".

Can someone post a few examples so I can work out the proper syntax?

Support for IMatch 3 has ended In June 2015.

In IMatch 5 you can use an data-driven category to achieve this easily.

For your "@All" NOT "IPTC.Keywords" formula to work you will first need to identify all files with IPTC keywords and put them manually into to the "IPTC.Keywords" category.

Thanks Mario,

I realize the installation is old.

I should probably be able to accomplish what I need with some scripting.
