Title: Notify Me
Post by: cthomas on December 03, 2016, 05:59:24 PM
As you can see I have Notify me of replies checked but for the last dozen post it has not worked. I wonder why?

I think this feature sends out emails. Can you receive emails from this community? Checked your SPAM filter?

"Checked your SPAM filter?"Sure did and it is empty. Before it quit working it sent an email to my Inbox every time somebody replied to one of my post.

So no body knows why "Notify me of replies" does not work?

"Checked my SPAM filter?" And it is empty.  :(

I have changed nothing on the server. I don't see error messages in the log and no bounce-backs from email servers.

I just don't know where to look.
Two users have registered today and this means they could receive messages from this server.
And, usually, when a user subscribes to a post and then later changes his email, I see bounce back messages in my inbox.

Many ISP's today filter and delete emails without notifying the user. This may be one of these cases where emails sent to you are deleted and you are not notified by your ISP.

Ok. I will see if I can contact my ISP. And find out something.

Carl,
just for testing I registered to be notified on topic 6126 yesterday. I received notification mails yesterday and today, no problem.
I don't think there is something wrong with the forum. Did you double check the EMail address in your forum profile?

I have also enabled the "Notify" option for some topics and I've got all the emails.
The system is working. Must be your end. Contact your ISP and double-check your SPAM settings.
