Title: iMatch: Gretag McBeth version
Post by: earwig on February 25, 2016, 08:35:39 PM
I own the original version of iMatch, valid only through Windows XP. Will your downloads permit me to use it with Photoshop 7 Home Premium?

Which version of IMatch are you using? Which downloads to you refer to?

Support for IMatch 3 has ended on January 1. 2015.
For information about the current version of IMatch, please see:

IMatch 5 has been released almost two years ago, but the post above is still valid.

Are you confusing IMatch3 (replaced by IMatch 5) and Match3 (replaced by i1Profiler)?  This is the support forum for IMatch3, which is a Digital Asset Management (database) program.  It is not the support forum for the Xrite (formerly Gretagmacbeth) program Match3, which is used with i1 spectrophotometer.

For what it's worth, Gretagmacbeth / Xrite Match3 runs without any issues in both Windows 7 and 10.

Thanks Ferdinand. My equipment is labelled as iMatch; I assumed that this site had taken responsibility for the product, but there have been name changes in the several years I have been away from the product. Thanks for the info. I'll go to the Xrite site and see if I can get newer Windows drivers and targets. Incidentally, can you give me the Photools site that describes this product? If there is an opportunity for monitor-printer color coordination I don't want to overlook it.

On my computer, the Gretagmacbeth / X-Rite software is named Match3, but on the X-Rite website it's named i1Match (version 3.6.x).  So the confusion is understandable.  Try here:

https://www.xrite.com/i1match (https://www.xrite.com/i1match)

and it still works on Windows for both versions of the i1 device (but not on recent versions of Mac OS X), or for its replacement try

https://www.xrite.com/i1profiler-i1publish (https://www.xrite.com/i1profiler-i1publish)

which does work on OS X.

If you want IMatch, the photo database program, try http://www.photools.com/ (http://www.photools.com/)
