Title: Design &Print: How to save a finished book?
Post by: ubacher on February 17, 2016, 11:56:01 PM
I think we need a distinction between a template and a document (filled template)
even though internally they are the same.

Currently I can only save a document (based on a template that I filled) as another template.

I am proposing the following:
1. An Open Document option (opens Documents i.e. Templates stored as Documents)
2. A New Template/New Document option
3. A Save as Template/ Save as Document option.

The Design & Print module only works with templates. There are no 'filled' templates, only dynamic or standard templates. Consider a standard template a document, don't put too much weight on the term template.

We can also store complicted (filled) templates as a pdf.
Or we can store the whole (filled) template simply as another template, say with images from an event and work with another empty "instance" of the same template for another event.
