Title: Best way to add face annotation?
Post by: hluxem on January 03, 2016, 03:28:36 PM
I'm going through scans of old pictures and started using face annotations to mark the persons.
I found the easiest way to mark the faces is to just copy the face annotations from one picture to the other and modify them if necessary. That works fast, but it will not put the annotations on the layer persons like when I place the box manually or use the face recognition feature. Does anybody have a work around for this like a script to change the layer name afterwards?
I like to avoid the extra step of manually changing the layer name but like to be consistent and have the annotations in all pictures on the same layer.

Thanks,

Heiner

For your particular workflow, a "copypaste" layer feature would be ideal. There is no such feature at the moment, Annotation objects are always inserted onto the current layer. This is usually what users want.
