Title: Best way to create a category for Attributes-entry
Post by: sinus on November 10, 2014, 10:27:59 AM
Hi
I have an attributes-entry (a boolean field).

Do you have an idea, what could be the best way, to create a category, what reflects all images, what do have such a attribute-entry?

Means, in this category would be finally only files with such an attribute-entry.

Thanks for any idea!

There is no direct way to create categories from Attributes. There are limits, even for IMatch.

If you really need such a feature, consider:

1. Using categories firsthand to store the yes/no info. That's what categories are for.

2. Write a script which reads the Attributes and puts your files into categories based on the Attribute.

3. Use a Metadata Template to copy the Attribute into a regular metadata tag, and setup a data-driven category for that metadata tag.

Thanks, Mario, for your superquick answer!  :D

This helps me, I will think about, what I best will do.

BTW: my workflow is almost finished and the collections seems to be stable.
